A successful Backyard Ultra performance requires more than physical training. It calls for a mix of physical preparation, mental training, and Backyard Ultra-specific practice. These three plans provide the tools you need to tackle this race format, whatever your level.
All three plans begin with high-intensity workouts, progress to longer medium-intensity sessions, and end with long, slow Backyard-specific practice. Throughout, the physical sessions are paired with relevant mental-training exercises, allowing you to train your mind as well as your body.
